ISUCA 01

Kitty best girl.

So we’ve decided that we’re not going to rename Japanese youkai into simplified English equivalents. Therefore a nekomata is a nekomata, and not a “two-tailed cat”. For starters, the description “two-tailed cat” is insufficient to describe a nekomata.

A list of all the youkai this week follows the break.

Also for those wondering, AT-X is censored, just like all the other stations. However, if you look hard enough at our encode, perhaps squint a little while tilting your screen, you can just make out the nipples that have been censored. So we’re confident the Bluray edition will be uncensored.

After some feedback from a few people that found it hard to associate the name nekomata with the character onscreen, we’ve created two additional subtitle tracks. We wholeheartedly suggest trying all three tracks in our V2 release to find the level of localization that’s right for you. You should apply the patch for the first episode regardless, as it contains a few typo fixes on the main track.

We’re still hiring. We’re in need of Translators and Translation checkers, Encoders, Typesetters and KFXers. Skilled Editors and Quality Checkers are also welcome to apply. If any of these positions appeal to you, head over to our recruitment page to get started.

Nekomata: A humanoid with cat-like features. In this show the nekomata is able to transform at will from a domestic cat, to a beast cat possessing twin tails (not the hairstyle), to a humanoid form that retains cat-like ears.

Raijuu: A formidable beast whose body is composed of lightning or electricity.

AT-X: Rumored to be an exhibitionist, but is in actual fact just as reserved as the other members of broadcastius networkius.
